Getting Started with Okta is a foundation-level course geared toward System Administrators or anyone responsible for configuring, integrating, and managing Okta.
A foundation-level course geared toward System Administrators or anyone responsible for configuring, integrating, and managing Okta.
Students who complete this course will know how to create, import, and configure users and applications in Okta. Students will also know how to configure directory integrations, multi-factor authentication, and self-service for end users after completing this course. After completing this course, students will also be able to create and manage groups, group rules, password policies, and sign-on policies.
Although this course is not intended, specifically, for exam preparation, everything that you learn in this course can be used to prepare for the Okta Certified Administrator exam.
There are no "required" prerequisites to take this course, but there are some things you can do to get the absolute most out of it.
To get the most out of this course, you should have a basic understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and basic familiarity with Active Directory. Basic networking knowledge would be helpful as well.
To complete the practice exercises in this course, you should sign up for a free 30-day Okta trial.
Having access to a live Active Directory forest is also helpful, but not necessary to complete the course.
